Skrillex Returns To Music Festivals After A Long Break

Skrillex has been absent from festival lineups which have raised a lot of questions. Just recently, Skrillex headlined a festival held at Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata, Japan. On July 28, YOSHIKI made a surprise appearance on stage with Skrillex at one of Japan’s biggest outdoor music events, Fuji Rock Festival 2018.

Skrillex has been dedicating a lot of time in the studio, which would explain his absence at festivals. For instance, about two months ago is when we got a taste of some new music from him when he decided to remix Pendulum’s track ‘The Island Pt. 1(Dawn). He even gave a free download collaboration with his old band From First To Last called ‘Surrender’ last month.

Fast-forwarding to the present day and time. Snowta has just announced the lineup for their New Year’s Eve lineup for 2018. Skrillex will be headlining on December 31 ringing in the new year. This is a huge deal considering the fact that at this very moment this will be his U.S. festival comeback. The lineup also includes big names such as MarshmelloGanja White NightGhastly, NGHTMREBoogie T and more. The festival is also bringing back attractions like the snowboard rail jam, alien laser tag, and mega skate park. New additions include bungee trampolines and freestyle motocross.

Here’s the recap video from last year:
