According to Billboard, a Lil Peep and Marshmello collaboration will be released on January 12.
This will be the first posthumous record of the rapper’s since his death in November. Marshmello completed work on the song following Peep’s death. Marshmello was among the first to react to Lil Peep’s death on social media when news first starting circulating.
Fans of Lil Peep will have another posthumous memory of the late emo rapper come January 12 when a collaborative track with DJ/producer Marshmello is due out.
A Peep spokesperson told Billboard that a video will accompany the release. No other information on the collaboration was available at the time. No preview of the collaboration has surfaced thus far.
Marshmello was among the first to react to news of Peep’s death last month, writing in a series of tweets that Peep was “the nicest person ever,” and that they had recently spoken about working on a song together. “You will be missed,” he wrote.
I cant even believe this. We were just talking last week about working on a song together and now you’re gone. You will be missed, R.I.P. @Lilpeep ? pic.twitter.com/GQRJe8Vck0

The surprise announcement of the untitled song, which will be accompanied by a video according to a Peep spokesperson, came just hours after the MC’s mother, Liza Womack, oversaw the release of the bittersweet video for Peep’s “Save That Shit.”
