Bassnectar finally releases Reflective EP after teasing three singles!

It’s no secret that Bassnectar has been a regular on TSIS from the beginning. The man is constantly on the move, dropping new music, new events and making appearances at festivals all over the country for years now. Just this year the artist announced Basslantic City Festival, Freestyle Sessions and Bass Center X, as well as dropped a remix of Buku’s “Front To Back” and Noisia’s “Get Deaded,” along with much, much more. Bassnectar’s newest EP, Reflective, dropped this week on June 16.

Bassnectar had already dropped two new singles from the offering, “Underground,” which some will remember him teasing at Okeechobee, and “Horizons on June 8, the Bay-area producer caught his army of “bass head” fans off-guard with an unexpected release. The track, “Was Will Be,” featuring the soaring vocals of long-time collaborator Mimi Page, came in the late hours of June 13.

Mimi Page returns as the lead vocals on the beautiful and mesmerizing, “Was Will Be.” Mimi and Bassnectar have worked together several times in the past, creating tracks like “Butterfly” and “Breathless.” Also on the lighter, melodic side are “Arps of Revolución” and “Horizons” featuring Dorfex Bos. These tracks fall under the category of more soundscape and song, effortlessly flowing through your ears. It’s no surprise that the heaviest track is the collaboration with G Jones, “Underground”. Both producers have dropped this track in recent live sets, and it’s sure to become the headbanging rebel anthem of the summer.
